Hello, my name is Amanda, I have been an Executive Assistant for more than 30 years, working alongside senior executives, entrepreneurs, and company owners.
At the start of my career, I worked for a Big 4 accountancy practice in Birmingham and in 1996 I started working with the Managing Partner of a specialised chartered accountancy practice in Birmingham.
During my 27 years with the Company it grew, with its sister company, to over 100 employees. During this time, aside from the usual day to day demands of an Executive Assistant I undertook several roles including complex global travel arrangements and visa applications, negotiating travel deals with agents and hotels, event planning and organisation, including charity events, Christmas parties, away days and even a family wedding! I was heavily involved in the recruitment process for the accountancy firm and its sister company, I maintained all HR records, interviewed and background checked candidates and produced offer letters and employment contracts. I was responsible for all banking requirements for the Group, from assisting with the daily cashflow to setting up company bank accounts. As the Company Secretary to the Group I was also responsible for the maintenance of all KYC/AML information and regularly liaised with other senior executives and board members worldwide.
